Getting Started

How do I find my servers host name?

The servers hostname is useful as it provides an alternate method of connecting to your hosting service. You can find your server hostname in your Welcome to your new hosting account email (also called your Welcome Email) that you would have received when you purchased your hosting plan.

If you no longer have the welcome email, our support team can resend it to you. Check our How to contact Koboh Sales & Support and what details to provide.

What can I use the server hostname for?

You can always use the server hostname to gain access to your services. This is especially useful if there is a problem with your domain name.

Webmail - http://serverhostname/webmail

cPanel - http://serverhostname/cpanel

Email - if for some reason you can't use mail.your-domain.co.uk you can connect your email client to your home server name.

How to find out your server's IP address

We have a separate guide that shows how to use PING to establish the IP address of your server.
